National Network for Women's History

The Women's Museum is the responsible museum in the Norwegian national network for women's history, and holds yearly meetings for this network. These meetings stretch over two days in late January each year, and are important arenas for networking. They also include lectures by scholars who have worked with women's history from various perspectives.

The Women's Museum has also been made responsible for a great cooperative documentation project called "Dokument hundre kvinner" ("Document one hudred women"). Over a period of three years, the project has interviewed one hundred women aged 70 or more, all from a wide variety of backgrounds. The project is a collaboration between the Women's Museum and six other museums: Norwegian FIlm Institute, Bergen Museum, Trondheim Art Museum, Glomdalsmuseet, Helgeland Museum, and the Museum of Reconstruction for Finnmark and Northern Troms.
