The «Public» is the part of society which is supposed to be open and accessible to everyone. Here, all citizens can meet and discuss and exchange ideas of common interest.
The idea of a public space grew together with the modern, capitalistic society. With it grew the importance of separating the interests of the private person and the community.
The public is therefore considered the foundation for the building of a common culture and for our political system.
