The Women's Museum in Kongsvinger can be found in the beautyful Swiss chalet style villa "Rolighed" from 1857, not far from the 17th century fortress and Øvrebyen, a protected part of the city characterized by its old wooden houses.

Due to the current pandemic situation, the museum will have different opening hours this summer.


Opening hours 2020:

Summer seaon 25th June - 16th August:

Thursday - Sunday: 11:00-16:00
Monday - Wednesday: closed

Autumn season 22th August - 27th September:
Saturday and Sunday: 12:00-16:00


The Women's museum is only open for events outside of summer and autumn seasons.

Want to visit us out of season? We are open for schools and pre-booked groups all year around!

Joint admission for the Fortress Museum, the Women's Museum and Kongsvinger Museum: NOK 100

Entry to the museum + guided tour of the old town: NOK 150

No group discount

Groups that wish to visit the museum beyond ordinary opening hours, must pay a minimum admission fee of NOK 1500 for groups up to 10 people. For larger groups, the price is NOK 150

Ticket from the Women's Museum gives free admission to the exibitions at Kongsvinger museum as well.
